One of the biggest problems in the care of Rooftop Tents is that it appears mold after having left the Rooftop Tent wet closed.
We tell you the experience of a client who has been so kind to share it. In this case the store remained closed 4 weeks. So the inevitable happened.
Ours Rooftop Tents Jovive are all waterproof to water. We can use them in rain conditions and they can be wet. But it is very important that we look for the time to open them and let them dry because if we do not do it, it is most likely to get mold and then remove it is not so easy.
Normally a wet closed store begins to produce mold between 7 and 10 days. That is why we should never let this happen. But if it happens here we are going to give you a possible solution to remove those spots produced by the mold. The steps we are going to describe below would also be valid to know How to remove the mold from a tent.
- First we apply antimoho.
- Then rub with hot water and soap
- Then water and scented ammonia.
- And then again with Antimoho. So up to 3 times. You have to rub a lot and throw it hours. But in the end this result is achieved:
Finally, having applied water and ammonia, the store loses part of the waterproofing, so a waterproofing waterproofing has to apply (in Decathlon they have) and ready.
